The Villains' Side
The topic of the storybook is familiar to me but the perspective that the story is told from is completely different from the original stories. The title hooked me in because I wanted to know how these classic stories could be retold from the villains' point of view. The introduction is interesting and leads me in further. I can imagine the voice of the character just by reading the words. I like how the introduction doesn't just state what the stories will be about but instead, starts by speaking in first person point of view of the main character. I like the titles for the labels and how it is nicely organized so I can go from one story to the next but the design of the page itself is a bit plain. The pictures compliment the stories well but overall, the pages lack design. I would want to use labels for my stories as well and speak in first person point of view of the characters.

Food in Fairytales and Fables
The title of the story drew me in immediately because it mentioned food. I am familiar with the stories that the storybook is based off of but I have also never thought about the stories from the food's perspective. When I first read the title, I imagined that the storybook would be a description of the food in different fairy tales or how the food is prepared but I found out what the story was actually about after reading the introduction. The introduction is funny and made me want to keep reading. The design of the page caught my eye as I read the introduction and gave the introduction an even lighter mood. I like how the color of the words changes for each story to match the food item in that particular story and the pictures for each story are well chosen. I would also want to change the color of the words or the font for each of the stories.

Mean Girls Morals
The title stood out to me among the long list of storybooks because Mean Girls is one of the movies that I have seen many times. The storybook is just how I imagined based on the title. The color choice of the background matches the introduction and topic very well. The introduction leaves a mystery at the end to make me want to read more to find out the Plastics' mistakes. The pictures are popular memes I have seen and remind me of the movie which make the text more interesting to read. Overall, the font is small for some of the stories which makes the text harder to read and there are not very many designs used. I will use a larger font for my storybook to make reading easier for the audience.

  1. This looks great, Rosa! I am glad you are seeing already the many different choices that go into making a project, and since everybody is making all their own personal choices, the projects all turn out totally different from one another, with so many fun new projects to explore every semester. I hope you will enjoy next week's project assignment when you will start brainstorming some ideas for a project of your own! :-)
